Ages 7–11
In KS2, we build on these foundations, preparing pupils for greater independence and future academic success.
Our KS2 tuition includes:
- Spelling development with an emphasis on accuracy and application.
- Explicit teaching of grammar and punctuation to strengthen written communication.
- Reading lessons that deepen understanding and analytical skills.
- Mathematics covering arithmetic fluency and problem-solving strategies.
- Weekly homework tasks set and reviewed in detail to reinforce learning and address misconceptions.
- Focused small-group sessions to challenge and support learners effectively.
- Individual learning plans designed to stretch potential and close learning gaps.
- From January, regular Year Six SATs test practice, ensuring pupils are confident with exam-style questions and assessment expectations.
Follwing the intial assessment, all children are assessed every 8 weeks, allowing us to track progress accurately, celebrate achievements, and set clear personal learning targets. This ensures teaching remains focused, purposeful, and responsive to individual needs.
